THE BIG CALCULATION
If you assume, a person living 70 years, drinks six 8 ounce glasses of water a day, then one person drinks 1.5x10e30 molecules of water in a lifetime. Divide that by 3x10e46 molecules of water on earth and you've got a proportion for each glass you drink, which has 8x10e24 molecules of water in it. Apply the proportion and you get 4x10e8 or 400 million molecules of water!

Have you ever thought about the water you drink?
Since the water on planet earth pretty much stays here, the water we see, drink, and play in has been around the earth for a long, long time. I mean literally around the globe. It goes up into the clouds, then back to the ground. This means that you are drinking, swimming in, washing with, and sweating the same water that every other earth being - human or otherwise - has shared.
This means that the next 8 ounce glass of water you drink has approximately ... 400 million molecules of water that some dinosaur ... or any person from history ... shared with you. This applies to anyone or anything that has ever lived on the planet.
